Chris Paul’s stats 33 points on 100-100-100%. This incredible efficiency will probably not be seen again in many years. Every shot he took was fundamentally sound, and he played very smart.
The vast majority of Durant's "poor performance" has to be down to Ime Udoka's tactical masterclass on the defensive end, no opposition has coach has ever been so well placed to know how to shut down their opposition's superstars. Genius execution from the Celtics for the first 3 games too
@Cheni Chen I choked when he said Ime had tactical masterclass. He was just a lucky coach, Joe Mazzula is much better at balancing the team and honestly making the Celtics better in general with how he is giving everyone time to perform. The Celtics we have today would give GSW a better fight than what we had with Udoka
If you think about it,low-key it's actually pretty impressive he's only having his worst series at this point in his career ,says a lot about how consistently great we've grown accustomed to seeing him
@Chris Gunn imagine KD, curry and klay on the same team.they would only be able to beat themselves with injuries but that would never happen lol. Kd gotta get his own damn 💍
It felt as if KD quit at times during this series, or felt defeated. At times he was too passive; then other times, he'd charge head-first into the defense and just turn it over. I don't think it will tarnish his legacy much, but it might be remembered in the same way we remember when Kobe quit on his team against the Suns in 2006.
@6sols Outside of wins in that 2006 play off run, kobe had worse stats. That's weird saying because the bean normally a menace, if thats the worst I see from KD that's insane. 27 8 8 is not bad for a 1st round play off stat, I hold Kobe far above KD on an all star list. That being said for "turning his back" KD put up respectable numbers for doing so, and I think isn't really comparable to kobe stats in 2006.
@6sols YEA AND KOBE HAD THE WORST ROSTER 2006 LITERALLY NO HELP AT ALL!!! I DON'T BLAME HIM IF HE DID QUIT - MADE FRONT OFFICE GO MAKE SOME MOVES TO GET GASOL, KOBE HAD JORDAN FARMER HIS STARTING PG IN THE PLAYOFFS AND KWAME BROWN WAS THE CENTER 🤣 .... KD QUIT GAME ONE TOO KYRIE WAS PISSED AND JUST DIDNT CARE AFTER THAT GAME
Naw hell naw at least Kobe won some games and the situation entirely different people really thought Kobe was the downfall of the lakers nd his “ballhogging” somehow made the team worse the media was painting a crazy narrative nd some of his teammates who were ass were tryna side wit them so he made a point this nigga KD got locked up nd roughed up nd flat out quit on his team bc he couldn’t handle the pressure nd just wanted the series to be over 💯
Regular season points per game average - playoff ppg average. The delta says a lot. Those players you mentioned, compared to their regular production all season are closer to 0. Durant had one of the largest negative deltas of those superstars. And honestly he saved it in the 4th game of the sweep. Without out this is the worst by a long shot. With it, I don’t think it’s true but certainly it’s not wild to entertain this as an epic meltdown.
@Zeke Not even. The celtics forced KD to play like LBJ and he doesnt have that skill set which is why he failed. Defense be damned he is held to the same standard every super star in the in the league is held to adapt or die
@Zeke LMAO did you watch that game? He got bailed on so many ticky tack fouls after complaining about fouls in game 1. Everyone knew he was gonna get to the line in Game 2.
Not one mention of what the Celtics did to make this happen Im disappointed Jimmy Its not like KD just melted down cuz it wasn't his night. There was a defensive scheme tailor made for KD that was executed to perfection. Kudos to to the entire Celtics roster and coaching staff and especially to Tatum. What they pulled off isn't something easy.
@Chris Gunn im sorry but you are comparing different generation. If KD played in that era, he will probably play the same way as those people you mentioned, he will be more physical. It's about the era so your opinion is cancelled out 🤷♀️
Lol, the same Celtics team that couldn’t stop Giannis, or Jimmy or Steph. That’s not an excuse, better offensive beats good defense, although the Celtics did an amazing job at stunning the entire east, but they only stopped one superstar, KD.
@Chris Gunn I'm sorry but physical doesn't automatically mean good defense. Also, things that are legal now were illegal during Mjs time so it cancels out.
Bro KD is being compared to the best of the best KOBE , Lebron, MJ . look at the defensive schemes draw up against them - Celtics didn't even play KD physical compared to those 3 guys just imagine
I would be interested to see the rating of the defenses if their opponents. This year, the Celtics have a very good defense. Same with the spurs in 14 and the Pistons in 04. A great player is great but they can only do so much.
Scottie was greater than MJ. If MJ would have let Scottie do more, they would have won more championships. When Jordan got drafted, I thought they would have won that same year. Nope.
Hey man love you video but I can’t find the best video you had that as named Every Single Time Kobe Bryant Played Michael Jordan We’re is the video I love that video it the best video you ever had
Thanks for this video, KD played very bad but I think most of the credit goes to the Celtic's defense, he always had two or three players guarding him or trying to take the ball from him, I hope he comes back strong next year.
NAH ALL THOSE PLAYERS PLAYED AGAINT ALL TIME GREAT DEFENSE - KOBE AGAINT THE PISTONS , KG AGAINT PRIME DWIGHT HOWARD, D WADE AGAINST SPURS, MJ WAS RUSTY, SHAW WAS HEADED DOWNHILL HE WAS OLD THEN .. BOSTON IS GREWAT DEFENSIVE TEAM BUT KD HAS NO EXCUSE IF HES GONNA BE COMPARED TO LEBRON KOBE AND MJ
If that's Jordan's worst playoff series, I looked it up, he still averaged... 31ppg on 47.7% 6.5rpg 3.7apg 2.5spg 1.8bpg He dropped 38 in game 2, 40 in game 3, 39 in game 5 ...like he said, impossibly great all the time
I think Michael Jordan was making a prophecy of the future of Russell Westbrook. that's why he played like that we even can his intentions as you view what I said.
These nba playoffs are giving you so much content to work on. Imagine you’re hard at work right now. Can’t wait to see what you come up with stats wise
This PLclipr is a STONE COLD THIEF‼️(At the 6:00 mark) You use content from @Run It Back Philly, and try to pass it off as YOUR OWN. That's a SCUMBAG move, sir. I would hope that you resolve this issue QUICKLY, seeing as if the word is getting around Philly about this obvious 'poaching of a PLclipr's rant', and not even giving him credit. And you didn't come up with 'Bench Simmons' on your own.....WE BEEN SAYING THAT SH¡T SINCE HE STARTED HIS BS MONTHS AGO. YES, YOU STOLE THAT TOO, SIR. Just hoping that this PLclipr does the right thing, and issue credit where it is RIGHTFULLY deserved.
Let me hijack this comment to say that dude RunItBackPhilly that did the voiceover is a great content creator. By far the funniest nba channel and creator I’ve ever seen, even if you’re not a sixers fan go check him out if you want a good laugh
Same with the DJ Eastwood voice over at the 6 minute mark. Great edit. Would be nice if Jimmy gave the man some credit however ... Edit : Seems he has now good man 👏
Rant at 6:03 is RunItBackPhilly and DJ Eastwood deserves some credit and respect for his genuine reaction to an emotional roller coaster that involved Ben Simmons’ run with the sixers
How you stealing content from this man??? Not even my guy but respect his opinions and takes. So you just stalk pages and steal content for yourself with no credit from real source? Seems fraudulent to me🤔
Congrats on 2M, JxHR. For this clip, it goes to prove playoff performance is a team effort. KD did his best under the circumstances. The other stars on the team press snooze, and woke to a early retirement in the playoffs, perhaps to rest up for next season.
I remember that game well, and if you're watching it ,live, his performance specially in defense, still made impact, but it sure does something wasn't right about him that night.he seemed nervous, deep inside
Brilliantly done! What I will say though is that being up 3-1 on GS and not closing the deal with OKC in 2016 is probably the series KD wishes he could do over
I literally have been spending the whole night at my job binge watching your channel. Bro, you are DEFINITELY the goat at making NBA videos. Jordan and Lebron ain't got shit on you lol
I think the big problem wasn't KD himself but them getting swept in the 1st round. If they had at least made it to the 2nd round, people wouldn't criticism them as much
If they didn’t play the Celtics and this still happened then I believe it would have been much worse for KD because that is a good team that had a plan to try and take care of him on both ends of the court
Like boxing, style make fight … And the Celtics were the worst matchup possible for KD, their team is built to stop tall/lenghty great shooters, Tatum is literally the perfect defender for KD, he is like 2 inches shorter, but he is also lenghty, younger and more athletic, with amazing lateral speed and deceleration, he is like a taller Jrue Holiday … My favorite player is Lebron and i was happy that KD lost and « choked », because without his weak ass move to the Warriors Lebron would probably have 1-2 more rings and still be a CAVS, but i still love KD because im a basketball fan before everything, and i know it was just the worst matchup for him, just like Lebron in 2011 with Tyson Chandler (2011 DPOY, 7ft 240lbs)+ Dirk, another 7footer and Jason Kidd a Top 5 point guard, 2nd all time in steals and assists … And back then Lebron wasn’t as skilled in term of shooting and even finishing at the rim+ he had all the pressure in the world with the « decision » and then the Big 3 presentation were he said not 3, not 4, not 5 ect … And it was his first season with players he had never played before, chemistry take time to come sometimes … So even young Lebron and KD, 2 of the most complete player ever could/can be stopped, but the post 2015 Lebron is unstoppable, the only player who can stop him is himself, because he is still an athletic beast shooting 73.9% from less than 5ft, and now shoot 35% from 3 (and he take a lot of very deep 3´s this season he was more efficient from the logo than Curry, Lebron shot 37.2% between 25-29ft, 36% between 30-34ft and 100% between 35-39ft, he only took 1 shot from there but still), and he shot 42.4% from midrange and 44.3% with his fadeaway), post 2015 Lebron is unstoppable, he scored the most points ever in a single playoffs run in 2018 while averaging 9assists, 9 rebounds and still able to be an elite defender, even before 2015 when his shot was falling you couldn’t do anything to stop him … So if there is a player that is really unguardable/unstoppable it’s post 2015 Lebron, that 4 years stretch with the CAVS was amazing and i don’t care if he lost to a 73-9 team who added the 2nd best player in the world in his prime … That’s like if Shaq went to the BULLS in 97 after being eliminated by them the year before when they had that legendary 72-10 season, that’s what KD did, imagine Shaq on the BULLS, that’s what KD did that’s why i have a hard time to have compassion for him, he ruined what would have been the greatest rivalry of all time …
I'm just surprised people haven't been bringing up Dominique Wilkins. One of the first and best cases of a star player coming back strong from an achilles injury who was also around Durants age. He came back BEAST mode like nothing ever happened dropping 29 a game after being traded to the Clippers after the ASB. He signed with the Celtics the next year and put up 18ppg with horrendous defense Melo style, and ended up playing in Greece the next year. Father time starts coming at you in dog years once you start getting into your mid 30's for most humans. It's not out of the realm of possibility that KD could completely fall off a cliff as far as being an elite #1 option star as soon as last week.
Your content is consistently the most informing and entertaining basketball analysis on social media. On any media really. I don't know how espn or some other major hasnt' snapped you up yet with some massive contract. Congrats on your 2 mil subscribers dude. Maybe you just turned down the contract?!
Great content as always. I guess the difference between KD and those other players is that they had the benefit of redemption, by either winning a ring that year or the next. Which is why its forgotten about or swept under the rug. Obviously we don't have that data yet, to know if KD will win next year, but i think with how tough the east is becoming the chances aren't great. If KD does win soon then this series will mean nothing. If he doesn't then its an indication of his decline.
That’s true but the criticism isn’t just about KD’s bad games. It’s that he could’ve been with Steph and Klay and the new and (most) improved Jordan Poole but instead he left for Kyrie who is well known to be a great yet unreliable player. The players jimmy listed weren’t in a position like KD’s. Take Shaq for example, he had DWade to rely on when he wasn’t playing his best. KD doesn’t have anyone to rely on but KD. That’s the position he put himself in. That’s why KD’s situation specifically is such a big deal.
Great video man, however I gotta say about that one point of losing in the first round being better than the finals (if that ain't what jimmy meant then my bad) I think it's better to have made it further like kobes bad finals than to burn out immediately like what happened with kds series Much love Jimmy, great video like I said
Hey I hope whoever's reading this is having a great day and if not I hope things get better over time. I just want to tell you have a blessed day and to live life to it's fullest; then you won't have any regrets. Thanks for taking your time to read this.
Hey dude, love your content! Was wondering for an idea if you can do a video on the statistical impact of home court v away, especially in the playoffs
I think that would be a tight idea, i believe home is where it feels best, i e, you are much more in your comfort zone.😊...(FYI , i make super cool NBA content 🥵, ohh, maybe i should make that vid

Notice in the beginning no other Denver Nugget outside of the Joker had a better series than KD... meanwhile there were multiple players from most other teams to have that happen. Goes to show how valuable Jokic is to his team and how improbable it was for him to not get swept by a stacked Warriors team who had 3 players to outperform Durant
@allan houston. Giannis the best player in the league imo but Jokic is the most valuable one, Jokic carried a G league team to a respectable 48-34 record.
10:56 that is an actual question that needs to be answered. Judging by the response, I assume Jimmy believes getting swept in the first round is better than losing in the finals. So not making the playoffs at all would be even better than getting swept in the first round with that logic. So, being the worst team in the league is better than being the second best team in the league? In my opinion, losing early is worse than losing in the finals. Choking either way is bad, but I much rather choke as the second best team in the league than choke as the 16th worst team in the league
Yeah, definitely some truth here but then again that’s the reason people bash Lebron so much 8 finals straight - within those 8 he won 3, before the eventual 2020 season making it 4-9, but regardless he still lost more times than he won in the finals. If all those 5 losses( not including ‘07), were to have been replaced by a first round exist arguments like , "LiKE He’S ThREe SiX”, would never even exist. NBA fans discount a finals appearance due to a loss and seemingly shrug off even the fact that you made it that far. If those years were a first round exist on the other hand, I doubt people would even mention it to such a high degree.
nba is the only sport i see people doing this shit in. ITs like saying its better to not make the olympic team than getting a silver medal. assbackwards
I have probably watched every single video of yours. I started watching you in 2019 October somewhere. All I'm trying to say is that I don't think i have watched any other sports based youtuber for this long. I watch many peoples channel which is related to sports, but i have honestly never been consistent watching any of those channel like this. It's all because I know the quality you are gonna deliver and it's impressive how good you make these videos. Big ups to the 2 mil you deserve.
Although Lebron didn’t have the ‘legacy tarnishing playoff series’ according to statistics in the finals vs the Mavs, context needs to be taken into consideration. Lebron had an all time meltdown paired up bosh and Wade against the huge underdogs that they were supposed to beat easily. Whereas although Kobe played shockingly against the pistons, they were an amazing defensive team and the Lakers were all over the place in general. Not letting him off, just context to some of these series needs to be used to really see how bad a superstar played. Aswell with Dwyane Wade, he was coming off numerous injuries entering the 2014 finals and was pretty much coming to the end of his superstar dominance.
not the same , mavs had been to the finals years prior and had won 50 plus games for 7 consecutive years and had two ball of fame players on the team soooo stop it
That Mavs team swept a prime Kobe. They were well built and well coached. Similar to the Bucks and how many people didn’t believe they could win it all - as we been seeing now, it’s not all about smashing the top players on a team to auto win a chip. Regardless Mavs were the underdogs but this notion that Miami was supposed to just steam roll them is misleading as hell
I remember watching MJ crumble in this series. People were absolutely stunned by it. I'm not kidding when I say a hush fell over the city of Chicago for a few weeks.
Gotta love how Kobe putting up “only 22 a game” was bad, like, imagine having that much pressure on you, if what would normally be a really good stat line for just about any other player was seen as bad for you
What happened was he was trying to make plays and move the ball that he learned in GSW, but the other nets players didn't know how to play that way nor were they reliable to execute. Plays require practice for good execution. This team hasn't been together long enough for this season to do any ball movement plays so then KD was forced to ISO in bad situations. I've seen a lot of plays he tried to execute but just never worked. to top it off, Celtics played phenomenal defense.
In his interview KD said the ball movement offense works so many times before it fails, that is literally what he said. And he wanted the iso offense with Kyrie, doesn't surprise me he failed at it. The dude is sometimes so hypocritical in what he say's.
Honestly, I agree Kevin Durant is such a good player and I never realized that his stats were this low to the point on where Brandon Clark preformed better than him.
@Amitpal Bains Nice excuse. Played like shit because he played Big minutes. NO. He played 44 minutes because he didn't want a coach. Him and the genius Kyrie Irving. He could have played 36 minutes and played better. Trusted his teamates. Dragic and the others could do some damage. But ball hog MR Durant wanted go get his numbers up.
@Felipe Fasanella some people are complete haters. The extra minutes lead to exhaustion which explains his low field goal percentage. If playing 44 minutes a night meant higher stats and more impact on the game, everyone would do it. Giannis is only averaging 34 minutes which means he’s fresher.
@Amitpal Bains That is because of game 4. He shot like CRAZY because he knew the series is over. He uped his ppg average by 5 ppt in game 4. But he still played like shit. The numbers are misleading. He should have like 19 ppg
I'm glad I watched this. I was beginning to think no PLclipr on the planet made a video about how the Brooklyn Nets were the only team in the 2022 NBA Playoffs that got swept. 💁🏻♂️🏀
I thought you were going to talk about how Boston Defense got good, bc I didn’t thought KD played bad, he was missing a lot ok but he still put more than 15 a night, that means that Kyrie has to do the dirty work
I feel like numbers don’t really paint the whole picture of KDs collapse. I understand theres no perfect way to measure a good or bad game but I just feel like that graph left a lot unsaid. Plus context matters in how good or bad a performance was. To say dwade had the absolute worst playoff series in 2014 but KDs first round wasn’t even one of the worse, there’s a flaw somewhere in the measurement if you actually watched what they were presented with and how they performed. Also some of these chokes I don’t think it’s fair to compare because they weren’t the number one option; it just takes more than taking two numbers into consideration. All n all tho this was an interesting perspective.
It looked like Shaq played really good D helping on Mike on those clips. I think the fear element of guards even trying to go against Shaq is very underrated part of his game tbh! But ya Bulls 5’s sucked
For me it’s not about whether that was the worst playoffs series ever or not but the most important thing is how the player bounce back from choking. All these greats mentioned in the video were able to bounce back after they performed badly and that even is a characteristic of a great player. They listened to criticisms and advice and those to help them bounce back. So I think KD can do same and stop getting back at legends when when they criticize him cus no one is going to give u a thumbs up and say “oh he’s KD so let him be; he’s going to do well next time”. No! You have to be criticized for your mistakes to be pointed out so that you can work on them and that’s what greats do. MJ Shaq Kobe LBJ Curry and Giannis all did it and they are still considered to be all time greats and KD is not better than any of them. Instead of him to go into archives and bring out evidence to buttress his come back at critics he should rather get back to the gym and practise some hoops, he should learn to be a leader, seek advice from players that have found themselves in the situation he’s in right now and stop tripping around. He’s no kid so we ain’t going to pamper him and tag him with “the best player in the world” sh*t. Giannis is far better of a player than him considering all aspects and not only when it comes to playing the game of basketball. We all love KD playing so I think he should work on becoming a great player rather than just being a good player cus his attitude is just an attitude of a good player not a great player!
@Sty1eB3nder u right bro buh what I mean here is the nets having a perfect chance to get the the nba finals and they blowing it away. Well I can take it back and say ruining their chances rather 😀
Can you really call it a choke when you're getting dominated throughout the series? I mean no hate man, but for me I think choking means you're winning the game/series but then you lose. The Nets looked like they didn't a have a chance at all.
Hey man... I love the videos. I would love to see a comparison and contrast video of kobe vs Mike. With ratings on strengths such as where they shoot best at, tendencies and advantages vs weaknesses. Like almost nba 2k ratings at your opinion of each phase of their game and different intangibles such as Jordan's athletic ability vs kobes skill at mid range plus 3 with defenders in his grill. This would be a killer idea in my mind and I think only you can do this video!!!!
While I appreciate the analysis I think it's important to mention when players are hobbled by injuries. Wade and Curry were both hurt during their bad playoff series for example. That has to factor into how they played and shouldn't be bunched in with other players who had no injuries holding them back.
@Laurens Fabian what kinda logic is that have you ever played through an injury before your adrenaline can make things seem fine again then reality hits the next coming days
@Laurens Fabian he didn't play in the Olympics bc of injury. Besides that you're missing the point of my post. Which is not about whether it's an excuse. The point is his injury wasn't mentioned in the video so when comparing it other bad playoff performances injuries should be included in the comparison.
@Julian I mean he said the knee wasn't fully healed and as a result didn't play in the Olympics that summer year for that reason. The point I was making is we can't compare his bad play to other guys mentioned in the video who had no significant injuries holding them back. That distinction should have been made in the video.
Congrats Jimmy! your content is pretty amazing, I really love how you get all the data and try to clarify a solid opinion through graphics and verified stuff, it's a really hard work to get to this conclusions and also this is the main fact that differenciates your channel from the others, I absolutely declare myself to be a huge fan of yours! congrats once again, keep the good stuff up! ESPN should hire you and make you a section, would be amazing ✌🏻
Could you do a video on which teams have been involved in the most injuries on the year. I have seen plenty of stats on which teams are the most injury prone but not on which teams are involved in the most court accidents. Players are good at making injuries seem like accidents today.
i still have goosebumps when jimmy is at the closing statements of his videos, i feel all the emotions thrown by jimmy's words all over my body, thank you jimmy, as always, until next time.
2011 i played with Jayson at a park. One of his relatives and my dad had a team outing. We played ball and I even had it on my facebook and it was insane. I knew he was good then but to find out that he’d make the nba is crazy. And even sweep two of my favorite players (in one team)
9:51 That clip of Wade limping to the back kinda answers your question, we understand he was hurt and past him prime by then but still people use 2014 as a knock on Bron without acknowledging that so it's weird
I will go down on the hill that the 2014 playoff spurs are the greatest playoff team of all time. Elite ball movement, prime defensive kawhi, red red red hot shooting from 3, insanely deep.
@Alexander You And Kobe had an even better superteam, with prime Shaq, old Karl Malone and Gary Payton, and he played with Shaq for like 7 years so he already had that chemistry, Lebron was in his first year, new team, new teammates, new coaches and the whole world excdpt Florida was hating on him, he had the most pressure any athlete probably experienced (2012 vs the Celtics or 2016 vs GSW were close but the level of scrutiny 🧐 was insane), at 25 years old that’s not easy people forget these athlete are humans who can have bad days like every one of us, but Lebron proved he was not just physically strong, but mentally strong, super strong after 2011, most players would have folded with that kind of pressure, look at Ben Simmons, what the Sixers fans did was NOTHING compared to what Lebron had to deal with and he felt into depression…
I luv to see this because tmac was always amazing in the playoffs but never got out the first round and people blaming him when there was nothing else he could do
Bro, I was hating on you for the first few minutes. I've been a huge KD guy since Texas, yeah even though he only gave us one year. Dude is a different cat but definitely not soft. I was fretting your angle and you brought it all home. As always, even if I don't love the result, I LOVE your deep dives and shared knowledge. Keep SMASHING it!
This is what I’m saying, that entire team was on his ass every move he made, their defensive mission was to at all costs never let KD produce in isolation, and they did a damn good job.
Im glad some people remember that 1995 series against the Magic.. I think Jordan is by far the GOAT 🐐, but that series seems to be forgotten. A lot of people think MJ never lost a series in the 90's.
Chris Paul’s stats 33 points on 100-100-100%. This incredible efficiency will probably not be seen again in many years. Every shot he took was fundamentally sound, and he played very smart.
He is lukas son
CP3 is a choker man.
He proved it again.
Don’t even put him in a conversation alongside the greats..
@B 13 how about LeBron’s 40 point triple double in the finals
Unfortunately, he still doesn’t have a ring…
Here after they choked the game 7 😂
Nooooooo!! “BENCH SIMMONS” 😂😭💀
The Celtics we have today would give GSW a better fight than what we had with Udoka
mhm
reading this comment after the warriors won the championship..
@Visionsoflight Wiliams it was ez lol
Absolutely agree
If you think about it,low-key it's actually pretty impressive he's only having his worst series at this point in his career ,says a lot about how consistently great we've grown accustomed to seeing him
hmmm
MJ didn’t collapse against the magic… he averaged 32 7 and 5.
@Chris Gunn imagine KD, curry and klay on the same team.they would only be able to beat themselves with injuries but that would never happen lol. Kd gotta get his own damn 💍
Mj never won without phil
@Bruhamster you have brain damage aren't you?
And as a Nets fan: Jimmy, sincerely; thank you, we needed that.
Enough tissues, sun's out. Time to hoop.
@pol I'm a KD fan but I want Lebron and KD to battle it out in the finals at least one more time before Lebron retires :(
Suns out alright.
@Emmanuel Hernandez 😂😂😂 “time to hoop” mans on the couch watching them play 🤡
You’re not even on the team bro it doesn’t matter to the Nets that you watched this video. Sincerely; you’re a clown
bro really thought this went hard
The most motivational 54 second intro KD has ever watched on YT. The intro alone aught to fuel his entire summer.
Brandon Clarke was the nail in the coffin
mmm
@MutatedMonkey21 nahhhhhhhhhhhhh👁👄👁
So we’re just gonna ignore Kyrie’s performance ??

Regular season points per game average - playoff ppg average. The delta says a lot. Those players you mentioned, compared to their regular production all season are closer to 0. Durant had one of the largest negative deltas of those superstars. And honestly he saved it in the 4th game of the sweep. Without out this is the worst by a long shot. With it, I don’t think it’s true but certainly it’s not wild to entertain this as an epic meltdown.
@Zeke Not even. The celtics forced KD to play like LBJ and he doesnt have that skill set which is why he failed. Defense be damned he is held to the same standard every super star in the in the league is held to adapt or die
new video please CY, need that F1 feul
@Zeke LMAO did you watch that game? He got bailed on so many ticky tack fouls after complaining about fouls in game 1. Everyone knew he was gonna get to the line in Game 2.
subbed simply because of your arguments 🤝
@A S T R O He already does something similar for F1 and he's the GOAT at it.
Not one mention of what the Celtics did to make this happen
Im disappointed Jimmy
Its not like KD just melted down cuz it wasn't his night.
@Cosmo Macero very debatable, it was good defense tho
I would be interested to see the rating of the defenses if their opponents. This year, the Celtics have a very good defense. Same with the spurs in 14 and the Pistons in 04. A great player is great but they can only do so much.
@reno419rockstar terrible take
@reno419rockstar dude wtf are u on
Scottie was greater than MJ. If MJ would have let Scottie do more, they would have won more championships. When Jordan got drafted, I thought they would have won that same year. Nope.
Congrats on 2M Jimmy.
AM HOOPS
@Emanuel Gebeyehu Thank you Emanuel!!
@Edgard Martinez unfortunately I did not make that video.
Hey man love you video but I can’t find the best video you had that as named
Every Single Time Kobe Bryant Played Michael Jordan
We’re is the video I love that video it the best video you ever had
plclip.com/video/kMKaOpLMGac/wideo.html
Thanks for this video, KD played very bad but I think most of the credit goes to the Celtic's defense, he always had two or three players guarding him or trying to take the ball from him, I hope he comes back strong next year.
@Chris Gunn also that Celtics Defense is the best Defense I've Seen since the 04 PIstons and 2014 Spurs they going to win the Ring
@Chris Gunn nobody is comparing KD to LeBron, Kobe, or MJ lol
NAH ALL THOSE PLAYERS PLAYED AGAINT ALL TIME GREAT DEFENSE - KOBE AGAINT THE PISTONS , KG AGAINT PRIME DWIGHT HOWARD, D WADE AGAINST SPURS, MJ WAS RUSTY, SHAW WAS HEADED DOWNHILL HE WAS OLD THEN .. BOSTON IS GREWAT DEFENSIVE TEAM BUT KD HAS NO EXCUSE IF HES GONNA BE COMPARED TO LEBRON KOBE AND MJ
patiently waiting for the luka video
“You must first learn to fail in order to succeed”
All players have had a bad series even the GOAT MJ. What people need to focus on is the fact that truly great players bounce back and avenge it.
Well, MJ did ended sweep those same Magic the next season, playing like fucking god himself, so yeah, I can see where you're coming
If that's Jordan's worst playoff series, I looked it up, he still averaged...
31ppg on 47.7%
6.5rpg
3.7apg
2.5spg
1.8bpg
He dropped 38 in game 2, 40 in game 3, 39 in game 5
...like he said, impossibly great all the time
I think Michael Jordan was making a prophecy of the future of Russell Westbrook. that's why he played like that we even can his intentions as you view what I said.
I love your breakdowns man. Thank you Jimmy!!!
These nba playoffs are giving you so much content to work on. Imagine you’re hard at work right now. Can’t wait to see what you come up with stats wise
"Bench Simmons" had me laughing so hard. 😆
Another great content.
The audio after was stolen from run it back Philly PLclip channel check him out has the realest takes
This PLclipr is a STONE COLD THIEF‼️(At the 6:00 mark)
You use content from @Run It Back Philly, and try to pass it off as YOUR OWN.
Edit : Seems he has now good man 👏
@JD you look like someone that thinks cheap beer is a personality trait
Rant at 6:03 is RunItBackPhilly and DJ Eastwood deserves some credit and respect for his genuine reaction to an emotional roller coaster that involved Ben Simmons’ run with the sixers
How you stealing content from this man??? Not even my guy but respect his opinions and takes. So you just stalk pages and steal content for yourself with no credit from real source? Seems fraudulent to me🤔
plclip.com/video/z17DANGLylE/wideo.html
Link to the original rant, the quote happens at about 13:30
My favourite PLclipr run it back Philly!
Yeah
@Run It Back Philly yes sir! Tried making some noise on Reddit too, hope to see your sub count surge soon 💯💯
Always looking forward to Jimmy's posts these days, Lovely stuff as usual.
I think the big problem wasn't KD himself but them getting swept in the 1st round. If they had at least made it to the 2nd round, people wouldn't criticism them as much
This is why I like Jimmy he doesn’t discriminate any players he shows respect and knows his stats Great Video! ✨
If Jimmy’s videos were a hour long I’d still watch.
If they didn’t play the Celtics and this still happened then I believe it would have been much worse for KD because that is a good team that had a plan to try and take care of him on both ends of the court
This was a tough series to watch as a Nets fan. I'm disappointed we got swept.
Now you feel the impact of Harden. He created so much space for KD
Man could u imagine if Durant played like this in his first play off series after his injury people would be sayin the wildest things
@Saki630 Lebum Lames
@JD is your mother also your aunt by any chance?
Like boxing, style make fight … And the Celtics were the worst matchup possible for KD, their team is built to stop tall/lenghty great shooters, Tatum is literally the perfect defender for KD, he is like 2 inches shorter, but he is also lenghty, younger and more athletic, with amazing lateral speed and deceleration, he is like a taller Jrue Holiday … My favorite player is Lebron and i was happy that KD lost and « choked », because without his weak ass move to the Warriors Lebron would probably have 1-2 more rings and still be a CAVS, but i still love KD because im a basketball fan before everything, and i know it was just the worst matchup for him, just like Lebron in 2011 with Tyson Chandler (2011 DPOY, 7ft 240lbs)+ Dirk, another 7footer and Jason Kidd a Top 5 point guard, 2nd all time in steals and assists … And back then Lebron wasn’t as skilled in term of shooting and even finishing at the rim+ he had all the pressure in the world with the « decision » and then the Big 3 presentation were he said not 3, not 4, not 5 ect … And it was his first season with players he had never played before, chemistry take time to come sometimes …
So even young Lebron and KD, 2 of the most complete player ever could/can be stopped, but the post 2015 Lebron is unstoppable, the only player who can stop him is himself, because he is still an athletic beast shooting 73.9% from less than 5ft, and now shoot 35% from 3 (and he take a lot of very deep 3´s this season he was more efficient from the logo than Curry, Lebron shot 37.2% between 25-29ft, 36% between 30-34ft and 100% between 35-39ft, he only took 1 shot from there but still), and he shot 42.4% from midrange and 44.3% with his fadeaway), post 2015 Lebron is unstoppable, he scored the most points ever in a single playoffs run in 2018 while averaging 9assists, 9 rebounds and still able to be an elite defender, even before 2015 when his shot was falling you couldn’t do anything to stop him …
So if there is a player that is really unguardable/unstoppable it’s post 2015 Lebron, that 4 years stretch with the CAVS was amazing and i don’t care if he lost to a 73-9 team who added the 2nd best player in the world in his prime … That’s like if Shaq went to the BULLS in 97 after being eliminated by them the year before when they had that legendary 72-10 season, that’s what KD did, imagine Shaq on the BULLS, that’s what KD did that’s why i have a hard time to have compassion for him, he ruined what would have been the greatest rivalry of all time …
I'm just surprised people haven't been bringing up Dominique Wilkins.
@Saki630 irrelevant to the comment🤦♂️
The way Jimmy can completely change my views on an opinion or event within 10 minutes is absolutely crazy
Your content is consistently the most informing and entertaining basketball analysis on social media. On any media really. I don't know how espn or some other major hasnt' snapped you up yet with some massive contract. Congrats on your 2 mil subscribers dude. Maybe you just turned down the contract?!
Great job of going back through NBA history to let know that even some of greats have tossed up stink bombs in the playoffs!!!
You know that Jimmy is awesome when you see that video is trending in gaming
Great content as always. I guess the difference between KD and those other players is that they had the benefit of redemption, by either winning a ring that year or the next. Which is why its forgotten about or swept under the rug. Obviously we don't have that data yet, to know if KD will win next year, but i think with how tough the east is becoming the chances aren't great. If KD does win soon then this series will mean nothing. If he doesn't then its an indication of his decline.
@Lebron James nah fuck that, That will always be remembered as the reason to why Lebron should never be compared to KD again!
That’s why KD’s situation specifically is such a big deal.
also the fact he's doing this after all that 73w warriors thing
@JD ㅕ
@JD okay, no problem. Won’t watch it
I also want to add that this was the 1st round for Durant. SOmeof the ones you point out were finals so they had to be good up to that point.
Great video man, however I gotta say about that one point of losing in the first round being better than the finals (if that ain't what jimmy meant then my bad) I think it's better to have made it further like kobes bad finals than to burn out immediately like what happened with kds series
Much love Jimmy, great video like I said
Congratulations on 2m Jimmy. You deserve it 👏
Hey Jimmy, long time fan, love the content keep it up. Any chance you can do a video on why the grizzle’s are so good without Ja Miramar?
No matter what day Jimmy posts, you know it’s gonna be a good day.💯🔥
plclip.com/video/kMKaOpLMGac/wideo.html
i couldnt agree more
WESTBRICK WILDIN OUT AF HIGHLIGHTS! SHIT TOO FUNNY! 😭😭😭
plclip.com/video/BGMSlPs53Yw/wideo.html
Hey I hope whoever's reading this is having a great day and if not I hope things get better over time. I just want to tell you have a blessed day and to live life to it's fullest; then you won't have any regrets. Thanks for taking your time to read this.
@Stephon maple seeing as that was in 2001, yeah lol
Hey dude, love your content!
Was wondering for an idea if you can do a video on the statistical impact of home court v away, especially in the playoffs
Great idea
I think that would be a tight idea, i believe home is where it feels best, i e, you are much more in your comfort zone.😊...(FYI , i make super cool NBA content 🥵, ohh, maybe i should make that vid
@allan houston. Hahaha
Giannis is much better than Jokic.
@Juju Beats nah that’s just overall series, they happened to be in the finals
That’s what I was thinking those player that made the finals had good playoffs series till the finals where kd played awful for the first 3 games
@Cam everything because the Warriors were considered possibly the best team ever
nba is the only sport i see people doing this shit in.
Love your video, hope KD can get more rest and play best next year.
I’m a new KD fans this year. XD
Congrats to 2M Jimmy. Keep up the good contents 👏👏
Got you give running it back Philly his credit!!!! That Ben Simmons rant was from the heart
I always love when Jimmy uploads he always has such good videos
I remember watching MJ crumble in this series. People were absolutely stunned by it. I'm not kidding when I say a hush fell over the city of Chicago for a few weeks.
Gotta love how Kobe putting up “only 22 a game” was bad, like, imagine having that much pressure on you, if what would normally be a really good stat line for just about any other player was seen as bad for you
He shot 30 something percent that’s not considered good for anyone, let alone the best player in the league at the time
As soon as we knew what this video was about, I could hear the faint sigh of every Lebron fan knowing what's about to happen. (Me aswell 😭)
That was me too cause I knew Steph would be brought up 🤣
What happened was he was trying to make plays and move the ball that he learned in GSW, but the other nets players didn't know how to play that way nor were they reliable to execute.
Most of their players weren't available. Like Joe Harris and Ben Simmons etc.
give them all a healthy season and watch them ball
*Let's take the moment to appreciate how much effort he puts into his content for us* 👍👍🥳🥳
This was simply expectations meeting reality. They put the NETS on this sure thing track all season and other teams were just better
been watching the videos since 2019 love how they have progressed and the facts are amazing
that chart literally blew my mind. Jimmy all about the facts once again!! much love
@Felipe Fasanella take out game 4 and he averaged 22. Learn to do your math.
@Amitpal Bains Plus, he played 44 minutes a game. That Will inflate his terrible numbers
I thought you were going to talk about how Boston Defense got good, bc I didn’t thought KD played bad, he was missing a lot ok but he still put more than 15 a night, that means that Kyrie has to do the dirty work
It's amazing to see Jxmy having more subscriptions than NBA on TNT👍 Mad props man!
Gotta give credit to the Celtics though. It was more their incredible defense than Durant just playing bad.
Celtics played perfect D on him
I feel like numbers don’t really paint the whole picture of KDs collapse.
Jordan still shaking of the dust
*Scores 55 first game back*
This man is a certified d rider
Keep em coming! Someone sign this man already
I Hope He Comes Back Twice As Determined Next Year
I never knew how poor shaq played in 2006. Shows how historically good Wade was in that series
It looked like Shaq played really good D helping on Mike on those clips. I think the fear element of guards even trying to go against Shaq is very underrated part of his game tbh! But ya Bulls 5’s sucked
Give Run it Back Philly his credit for the 6 min mark, it's only fair
Jimmy Buckets always turns up in the playoffs though (minus last yr when he was playing injured). But yeah, that graph was surprising.
when Jimmy uploads, we click as fast as we can!!!!!
WESTBRICK WILDIN OUT AF HIGHLIGHTS! SHIT TOO FUNNY! 😭😭😭

DS is crazy
Pretty much. Probably the best channel on PLclip if your into basketball
Correctamondo!!!!!!
Definitely
"Legenda aren't defined by their achievements but on how hard they bounce back" - Bosh
“I’ve seen a lot of things in my day, but never, EVER” that yell caught me so off guard lmao
The point is his injury wasn't mentioned in the video so when comparing it other bad playoff performances injuries should be included in the comparison.
curry was hurt and came back and set an nba record in the first round against portland. he wasnt hurt anymore thats a lame excuse curry fans use
@noisepuppet you might be right about that which would explain why he didn't get a pile of hate for not playing well.
ESPN should hire you and make you a section, would be amazing ✌🏻
the game 4 performance when he actually played like Kevin Durant kept really carried his gamescore and net rating from looking worse
Could you do a video on which teams have been involved in the most injuries on the year. I have seen plenty of stats on which teams are the most injury prone but not on which teams are involved in the most court accidents. Players are good at making injuries seem like accidents today.
Run it Back Philly is the voice at the 6 minute mark he’s a great creator go sub to his channel
i still have goosebumps when jimmy is at the closing statements of his videos, i feel all the emotions thrown by jimmy's words all over my body, thank you jimmy, as always, until next time.
plclip.com/video/kMKaOpLMGac/wideo.html
Do you know what song that is at the end of the video?
Facts bro. I love his videos and the ending
Tf man
You said what💀
You have the highest quality basketball videos on youtube. Keep up the great work!
Bringing light to the darkness of knee-jerk opinions and hot takes. Thanks for your consistently-awesome content!
"Run It Back Philly" audio used in this video, fair use or not, still going to give my man a shout out for being a great philly sports content creator
Run it back Philly has some of the realest takes on PLclip
@Run It Back Philly why don't you DMCA it?
Facts
The least he can do is shout out rutitback
2011 i played with Jayson at a park. One of his relatives and my dad had a team outing. We played ball and I even had it on my facebook and it was insane. I knew he was good then but to find out that he’d make the nba is crazy. And even sweep two of my favorite players (in one team)
9:51 That clip of Wade limping to the back kinda answers your question, we understand he was hurt and past him prime by then but still people use 2014 as a knock on Bron without acknowledging that so it's weird
@arturmeric LeBron is too, I can excuse Wade for 2014 but ain't no excuses for Bron 2011
DUNCAN WAS 40 DRAFTRED 1997 AND WADE 2003 6 YEARS YOUNGER
STOP LIE LEOVERRATED IOS NOBODY
Dwade is one of the reasons why the heat didn’t have 3peat
You consistently create great videos. You’re the goat
I luv to see this because tmac was always amazing in the playoffs but never got out the first round and people blaming him when there was nothing else he could do
I think there is a good chance the Celtics still win in the first round, but had harden been on the team, it would have at least been a series
Celtics deserve credit way more than KD deserves the blame. They schemed him out perfectly, and KD had neither the coach nor the team to counter it.
This is what I’m saying, that entire team was on his ass every move he made, their defensive mission was to at all costs never let KD produce in isolation, and they did a damn good job.
I thought Jimmy was gonna say that it looked like Durant had the MonStars steal his powers lol 😂
Shout-out to Run It Back Philly for the epic sound clip at 6:03 show DJ Eastwood some love.
Jimmy I think it would be cool if you made a video on which NBA superstar or all star had their best retirement season compared to one another’s.
Im glad some people remember that 1995 series against the Magic.. I think Jordan is by far the GOAT 🐐, but that series seems to be forgotten. A lot of people think MJ never lost a series in the 90's.
The rest of the series he averaged his normal numbers. That game was his worst however
Congrats for your 2M subscribers man. You deserve it so much !
You know if the NBA is rigged I am gonna feel really bad for jimmy 😂😂
